FAQ'S ABOUT RESORATIONS

How much does a restoration cost?
This is quite honestly a valid question, how could you budget for a restoration if you don't know how much it is going to cost. This question is also the bane of every restoration shop in existence, the reason is, we can't honestly answer it!. Every car has a different set of issues, and a different amount of rust, and often times a bit of poor body work applied sometime in it's life. So really unless we can strip it down, see the rust, and figure out what parts need replacing, and how much they cost, we can't begin to give you a true cost or a rough estimate. This isn't meant to scare you away by any means, we certainly can give you a good idea of the cost of a restoration, but probably not from a few pictures emailed to us. After we look at the car we will put together a detailed estimate of what our work will include to start. As we get further into the job we will have you approve additional work before we start.

How long does a restoration take?
This really depends on the depth of the restoration, and the availability of parts. If there is little rust and metal work to be done, and the parts are readily available, then a vehicle can be finished in 3-4 months, but a full blown restoration can take about a year. Again, this is subjective, as some parts may be on back order for 4-6 weeks, or we may have to fabricate parts, which takes longer than simply installing them.

What kind of vehicles do you specialize in?
The short answer is all old vehicles, but the most common cars we have completed, Camaro's and Mustangs. Each member of the team has a different area of expertise, and together, we are capable of working on pretty much anything. We pride ourselves in being problem solvers, so if we ever did come across a vehicle that none of us have worked on, rest assured that we could overcome any obstacle.

What kind of paint do you use?
The vast majority of our paint work is done with a Urethane Base/Clear DuPont Croma Premier System. The brands we use depends on the budget and the preference of the client; but we prefer PPG, Glasurit, and House of Kolor for our custom finishes. We can paint samples, and mix custom one off colors for your finish.

I have a classic car that I had restored some years ago, can you do repair

work on it?
This is a big issue for us because we know that a lot of restoration shops only want to do full restorations, and a lot of Body Shops don't want to work on old cars. So yes, we will repair your classic car, anything from a rock chip to a complete refresh. We are exceptional at matching existing color.

I have a vehicle that requires restoration, but I'm not local, will you take my car, and can you help me arrange shipping?
We have a client as far away as South Dakota, and we can arrange shipping of your vehicle to our facility, and back to you once the work is complete. We use carriers that have experience dealing with classic automobiles, so your baby is in good hands. Also, we have our own trailer, and can personally pickup up cars located with in reason. We are located centrally in the middle of Missouri, just off Interstate 70, at the 117 Mile marker.
